Privacy Policy.
Rodent Control Oregon is an informational publication and an operator directory. We do not run advertising networks, sell leads, or sell visitor data. This page explains what that means in practice.
The short version.
We are a small editorial publication. We do not run forms. We do not run accounts. We do not run advertising networks. The only personal information we receive in the normal course of operating this site is the same information that any web server receives — your IP address, your browser type, and the URL you requested — in standard server log entries. We do not match those entries to your identity, and we do not share them.
We do not collect contact details, lead-generation data, or any personally identifying information through this website. The site is a publisher and an operator directory; when you decide to engage a rodent-control professional, you contact them directly using the link and phone number we list, and any relationship from that point forward is between you and them — not us.
What we collect when you visit this website.
Our hosting provider, like all web hosts, keeps server-log records of incoming requests. These typically include:
- The IP address your request originated from
- The date and time of the request
- The URL you requested and the URL that referred you (if any)
- Your browser's user-agent string and the language it sent
We use these logs only for operational purposes — diagnosing errors, blocking obvious abuse, and producing aggregate counts (e.g. "the Bend page received 200 visits last week"). We do not attempt to identify individual visitors. Logs are retained for no longer than ninety days and are then deleted on a rolling basis.
Cookies, tracking, and analytics.
This site does not set first-party tracking cookies. It does not load third-party advertising scripts, marketing pixels, or behavioural-targeting beacons. If at some future point we choose to add privacy-respecting aggregate analytics (the kind that do not set persistent identifiers and do not track visitors across other websites), we will say so here.
The only external resources this site currently loads are fonts from Google Fonts and stock photography from Unsplash. Both will see your IP address when your browser fetches the asset, the same way any embedded image would. Neither receives any other information from us.
Operator contact data.
Our directory lists each operator's own website and phone number. When you click a directory link or call a listed number, your information goes directly to that operator under their own privacy practices — Rodent Control Oregon does not see, receive, or store any of the details you share with them. We do not run an intermediary dispatcher, we do not record calls, and we do not sell contact information of any kind.
Children.
This site is not directed to children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and we have no functionality that would meaningfully allow us to do so. If a parent or guardian believes we have inadvertently received information from a child, write to the address below and we will delete it.
Your rights.
Because we keep no persistent record tied to you, there is in most cases nothing for us to delete or hand over at your request. If you live in a jurisdiction with formal data-subject rights (for example California, under the CCPA) and you have questions, write to us at the address below and we will respond.
Changes to this policy.
If we change anything about how this site handles information, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, if the change is material, post a brief explanation of what changed. We do not currently maintain a mailing list, so we will not be emailing you about the update.
How to contact us.
Questions about this policy or about how we handle information should go to hello@rodentcontroloregon.com.
